The Eight Mansions Formula: Pa-Kua Lo-Shu formula

The Eight Mansions Formula: Pa-Kua Lo-Shu formula is used for identifying lucky locations and for determining auspicious directions.

Start by calculating your Kua number. First add up the last two digits of the year you were born in the Gregorian Solar Calendar. If you're born before the first day of the Chinese lunar new year of the year in the Solar Calendar, subtract one from the result. Refer to http://umunhum.stanford.edu/~lee/chicomp/lunar.html for the Gregorian Solar/Chinese Lunar Calendar Conversion. Then continue to add up the digits until you get a single digit. Next deduct the single digit from 10 if you're a male, or add the single digit to 5 if you're a female. If the result is still not a single digit, add up the digits to get a single digit.

Now refer to the following table to determine what group person you are and what auspicious and inauspicious directions you have.
